Fire and Emergency
GALLATIN RIVER RANCH RURAL FIRE DEPARTMENT - The Gallatin River Ranch Rural Fire District and Rural Fire Department were established in 1999. The designation of the Rural Fire District facilitated the formation and financial support for the GRR Fire Department. The Department is financed by taxes. The Department consists of a Fire Chief and a number of volunteers. It provides fire and EMS services to the GRR. The department has mutual aid agreements with other local fire agencies. Ambulance services on GRR are provided by AMR. More details can be found at the GRR Fire Department Website.
SECURITY ON THE RANCH - The Gallatin County Sheriff's Department is responsible for law enforcement on GRR. Any type of criminal activity report should be called to the Sheriff's Department. Hunters or poachers on ranch property should be reported to the FWP first, and the Ranch Manager second. The Ranch Manager is on duty during normal business hours M-F, with some adjustment in hours during the hunting season. He is available by phone only after those hours, but does not return to GRR outside of his normal work hours.
